Cheryl Bloomfield |

Representing: Jackson, California |

| Cheryl Bloomfield was raised in the beautiful Santa Clara Valley, CA where her love of art began to develop at a young age when teachers, realizing her natural talent, would ask her to paint classroom props and stage backdrops. |
She has always had a brush in her hand, painting canvas, walls, or furniture throughout her life. Empty nest syndrome paved the way for her mural business where she painted imaginative fantasy in children's rooms, and created original hand painted scenes, designs, and faux finishes on the walls of homes throughout San Juaquin County, CA.
Living in the mountains above Jackson, CA, instilled a love of the environment in Cheryl. She began to paint landscapes in oils as a serious artist, viewing her natural surroundings in a different and creative way. She chose to paint the beauty of the earth. “I try to instill the uniqueness of the area in my paintings.
The history of the scene, or the specific colors unique to the area, and really, just the whole mood I feel when I'm there, influences me. I try to capture an are, on canvas, before a sign or highway has removed some of the natural beauty of that location. Painting is my way of sharing, what I’ve experienced, with others."
Cheryl paints what she sees and feels, creating a painted diary of our great United States, from photographs of her travels. Her photography led her to painting. Cheryl says, “Photos captured the picture at a particular time, and paintings captured the feeling and mood of being there.” She has painted scenes throughout the Western states and loves painting the New England area, so rich in color, character and history.
Her subject matters include old barns, century old houses with rock foundations, streams and lakes, national parks, snowcapped mountains, horses, Civil War locations, and scenic autumn views. She snaps her own photographs of an area, using them for color, design and composition, and paints the canvas in her studio at home. All of her paintings are one of a kind originals, no prints are made. Natural artistic talent and an inborn creativity make her work favored
by many.
