My inspiration for working with glass came from my dad, who is a self-taught lampwork sculptor. As a child I would watch for hours as he created beautiful artwork in his studio at home.
Many years later, when my father could no longer work on his glass he gave me a lot of his lampworking supplies and it all started from there.
I studied under a local artist for a period of time, then set up my own studio in the garage, making and designing lampwork beads.
I love working in my studio making the beads, trying out different shapes and designs and seeing the end results, as they are all unique.
My beads are created and finished in a smoke free, pet free environment.
They are individually made and are properly kiln annealed for strength and durability. I use stained glass in creating most of my lampwork beads because of the never ending color combinations. I also use sterling silver and a wide variety of findings in finishing my jewelry.
The photos don't always show the true beauty of my work. The pendants really need to be seen to be appreciated. They are more vibrant and beautiful in real life than in the pictures.
