Jewelry designer Lorraine Yamaguchi creates unique one-of-a-kind handmade jewelry pieces. Each design is carefully thought out and made to enhance the unique materials she uses to create her artwork.

Growing up in Southern California, Lorraine has always had an appreciation of the arts. She has enjoyed working in different media, including fine woodworking and the fine art of black and white photography, but glass working and jewelry making are her specialties. In her jewelry she uses a variety of materials: fused glass, lampwork glass beads, wire wrapping, art metal clay, and natural stones.
Lorraine graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art and a minor in Industrial Arts. She has taken numerous art classes in many places including Washington, Illinois, New Mexico, and of course California.

Currently she teaches workshops at MiraCosta College in Oceanside, CA. She has been teaching workshops since 1993 at various bead and glass stores, Irvine Valley College, Orange Coast College, and guest taught at Pasadena City College. She has had some of her fused glass pieces purchased for sale in the Japanese American National Museum gift shop in downtown Los Angeles. She continues to participate in many art and craft shows within the Los Angeles area.
