Painting on crystal stemware is just the latest medium for me. I've been doing something arts and crafts related since I was 9 years old and my mother taught me how to embroider. By the time I was 25 I had won several awards for my crewel embroidery pieces. When I became a mother I had no time to create anything other than a couple of humans with good hearts and characters.
In 1996, divorced and kids grown, I relocated to SW Colorado from Southern California. Clear skies and beautiful mountain views inspired me and I began to paint. Having never taken a formal lesson but with an obsessive need to create, I painted on anything and everything. In 2003 people began asking why I was giving my work away and offered to purchase instead. Around that time crystal became my medium of choice while, by popular demand, I continue to provide hand painted Christmas ornaments to loyal collectors.
